Canada Bill C-16 passed through the Canadian Parliament yesterday. The “C” must stand for crazy.
The Canada C-16 Bill is a law to prevent discrimination towards the exploding list of brand new genders that some people are now identifying with. It is a weapon that will deal a death blow to free speech and could land some people in jail.
PM Trudeau’s Globalist agenda is moving along quite nicely.
The Daily Caller reports,
“Canada passed a law Thursday making it illegal to use the wrong gender pronouns. Critics say that Canadians who do not subscribe to progressive gender theory could be accused of hate crimes, jailed, fined, and made to take anti-bias training.
Canada’s Senate passed Bill C-16, which puts “gender identity” and “gender expression” into both the country’s Human Rights Code, as well as the hate crime category of its Criminal Code by a vote of 67-11, according to LifeSiteNews. The bill now only needs royal assent from the House of Commons to pass into law.”
The Bull-oney Sandwich
Two problems with this bill. The dangers are sandwiched within the fluffy layers of preventing “discrimination.” But what is truly alarming is that a person could be tossed in jail for using the wrong pronoun on purpose.
One problem is obviously the free speech issue.
The other is-who will decide if someone used the pronoun accidentally or not?
He said/she said/ whatever said. Guess who the court will side with.
Think it can’t happen here? It already has!
There’s already been a bill passed in New York City. It doesn’t include jail but it does involve a fine that could result in a lengthy sentence of financial imprisonment.
The bill amends Local Law No. 3 (2002); N.Y.C. Admin. Code § 8-102(23) that could result in a $250,000 fine if you intentionally refuse to use the correct (as stated by the individual) pronoun to refer to someone.
Jordan B. Peterson of The Hill weighs in.
“Authorities there [NYC] now fine citizens up to $250,000 for the novel crime of “mis-gendering” — referring to people by any words other than their pronouns of choice (including newly constructed words such as zie/hir, ey/em/eir and co).
“They” is also a popular choice, transforming the plural into a new singular, with its advocates arguing (misleadingly, in my opinion) that such use reaches back several hundred years. I have been taken to task for my refusal to abide by the wishes of those demanding such changes to my speech. What are my reasons?
First, most simply, are the practical problems. The Big Apple now legally protects a non-exhaustive list of 31 gender identities.”
Trudeau’s waging a successful war on free speech.
C-16 is not the first Bill that is cracking down on free speech. Bill M-103 that passed criminalizes any speech that opposes Islam.
We’re worried about our neighbors to the North. Canadians are being suppressed and bullied into paving the way to be swallowed up into the Globalist agenda.
Canada has always been such a benign neighbor that we’ve often joked about it.
But it’s no joke anymore. God willing, Canadians will stop being so nice and rise up against Merkels’ pretty boy. Sure, we want sovereignty for Canada’s sake, but selfishly we don’t need Canada to become a hostile country sharing our border.
Canada, don’t make us build another wall.
This is a signal for us.
We cannot allow the Left to win in their fight to criminalize our free speech or to bully us into allowing them to push the transgender agenda onto our children.
Most of us never cared what trans people did with their own lives. Aside from the new “intersex” insanity, his stuff has been around forever.
But the LGBTQI movement has become politicized, radicalized and weaponized.
The Left should only be so tolerant and inclusive of conservatives.
Given the violence in today’s political climate, assault and attempted murder based on political affiliation should absolutely be considered a hate crime.
