President Trump went to the source of his hard fought election victory. He went to God to pray at the Western Wall in Israel. He is the first sitting President to do so.
Before visiting the Western Wall President Trump was met by PM Benjamin Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin upon landing. During a joint news conference with President Rivlin. The leaders affirmed their alliance, friendship and loyalty. President Trump stated,
“On my first trip overseas, I have come to this ancient land to reaffirm the enduring friendship between the United States and the State of Israel. We are not only longtime friends — we are great allies and partners. We stand together always.”
Good vs. Evil
During this visit President Trump has already succeeded in bringing about the realization that Iran is our common enemy and the desire to defeat Iran together creates a common bond. He targeted Iran as the heart of terrorism and the main threat to peace, prosperity and security in the region and around the world.
While speaking at the Arab Islamic American summit he let Middle East leaders know that this battle is not about religions, but about good vs evil.
“This is not a battle between different faiths, different sects, or different civilizations. This is a battle between barbaric criminals who seek to obliterate human life, and decent people of all religions who seek to protect it. This is a battle between good and evil.”
The enemies of God have been put on notice.
President Trump looked Iran squarely in the eye and tore off the mask of the enemy. He assured Israel that Iran will never have nuclear weapons.
The President and First Lady Melania then honored Christians.
The First couple visited the Christian holy site, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. They enjoyed a tour inside without the media present.
President Trump surely has the deep gratitude of Christians around the world. Obama not only turned his back on the violent bloody genocide of Christians in the Middle East, he was instrumental in demonizing them here at home.
This was followed by a trip to the Western Wall.
President Trump is the first sitting US President to visit the Western Wall.
Most supporters would agree that the victory in the last election is due to God’s intervention.
Our President wore a yarmulke. Rabbi of the Western Wall, Shmuel Rabinowitz, who said that he recited two psalms with the U.S. leader. One of them, Psalm 122, speaks of Jerusalem as a “city that is united together.”
After praying, he tucked a prayer note within the cracks of the wall, which is customary.
The image of our President standing and praying at the Western Wall is breathtaking. This historical moment made us proud and hopeful. It sends a strong message to the world and to the Godless Globalist Left.
We are willing to recognize evil and we will fight it. Not alone, but with God.
It’s a new day in America. We have a patriot at the helm.
We have a leader who is interested in respecting all faiths, not one who cozies up to radicalized, politicized Islamists.
President Trump hasn’t joked that ISIS is the JV Team. He knows you cant’t “nice them away” or “ignore them away.” And he sure as Hell isn’t going to play footsies with them or secretly send them 1.7 billion dollars on a cargo plane.
There are many reasons for this historic trip abroad, but probably the main one is to make progress for peace in the Middle East. It appears that he has already made great strides.
Visiting Saudi Arabia first was brilliant.
He was able to show strength and solidarity with a nation that many would consider suspect. Although his 110 Billion dollar arms deal made the Israelis and skeptics shudder, President Trump is no fool.
By engaging the Saudis in a partnership to defeat our common enemy, the deal is a loud and visible commitment from them to pick sides.
The deal was followed by a speech at the summit of Mideastern leaders where he boldly put them all on notice. He wasn’t telling them what to do . Nor was he saying that we’re going to intervene as America has notoriously done in the past.
Instead, he let them choose their path. But first he showed them the crossroads. In regards to dealing with terrorists, he boldly repeated the call to “Drive them out” of their countries and offer them no safe haven. He also asserted,
“If you choose the path of terror, your life will be empty, your life will be brief, and your soul will be fully condemned.”
The path could not be more clear.
President Trump already knew that Israel is our friend.
He is the only President that has been such an open supporter of Israel. They were thrilled to have the nightmare of the Obama years behind them.
However, Israelis are worried because although President Trump has spoken about moving the embassy to Jerusalem he hasn’t committed. It’s been an annoying tease for Israel and they’ve grown impatient.
But as with all Trump supporters who too quickly lose faith and patience, they need to realize that our President is the Art of the Deal President.
He has yet to meet with Palestinian leader Abbas. Moving the embassy may be a bargaining chip in negotiations. Perhaps moving it prior to negotiations may make the US seem more hostile by having an imbalanced alliance with Israel.
Patience is the best approach.
President Trump already inspired Israel to offer an olive branch.
Prior to the visit, the Israelis had responded to a request from President Trump to show some “confidence building measures” that would pave a path to peace between Israel and Palestine.
Israel responded quickly with measures such as allowing Palestinian permits to build on their own land, installing a Palestinian industrial zone on the Southern West Bank and streamlining transit procedures.
“In a statement, Trump’s administration welcomed the moves, saying he “has been encouraging both sides to take steps that improve the environment for peace making.”
“He has expressed particular interest in taking steps to improve the Palestinian economy in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.”
Now the Palestinians MUST agree to peace.
If not, they reveal themselves as the problem, not the solution. And most certainly not the victim, as the Left would have us believe.
Israel has tried repeatedly to negotiate with the Palestinians, but they always refused. It was not land that would appease them, but the blood of every Jew.
Perhaps President Trump’s friendly relationship with Abbas can change that.
Remarks with PM Benjamin Netanyahu.
PM Netanyahu made an outstanding statement. He said that for the first time in his lifetime President Trump has given him real hope for change.
Their joint statements can be seen in this White House video.
Prayers for President Trump and his success to bring peace and prosperity to the Middle East and the world.
