Why President Trump’s “Pathway to Citizenship” for DACAs is a Brilliant Move

DACA path to citizenship

Reporters were stunned. President Trump announced that he supports a pathway to citizenship for DACAs.

Many Trumpsters are mad as Hell, because they feel he’s betraying them. One of his campaign promises was no amnesty for the “dreamers.” Now it seems he’s not only redeged on his promise, but taken it further by offering DACAs a path to citizenship.

The Daily Caller reported his announcement:

“President Trump appeared to endorse a pathway to citizenship for certain illegal immigrants on Wednesday, suggesting a shift from his more hard-line positions during the presidential campaign.

Trump told reporters at the White House that he plans to have illegal immigrants who came here as children “morph into” citizens after a period of 10-12 years.

“We’re going to morph into it, it’s going to happen over a period of 10-12 years,” Trump said, when asked if an immigration deal will include a pathway to citizenship for the illegal immigrants previously covered under the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty program.

“If somebody’s worked hard, if they’ve done a great job, it gives you an incentive to do a great job,” Trump said. “They’ve worked hard, They’ve done terrifically, whether they have a little company, or whether they work, whatever they’re doing, if they done a great job, I think it’s a nice thing to have the incentive after a period of time to become a citizen.”

Why it’s a brilliant move.

When Schumer and the Dems shut down the government on behalf of the 700,000 illegal DACAs they drew the wrath of Americans, including many Democrats. The Schumer Shutdown accomplished one thing-Democrats looked like fools and showed their true colors, proving that they care more about garnering votes than they do Americans-of all colors and backgrounds.

When Schumer & Co. caved and re-opened the government they drew the wrath of DACAs who accused Democrats of turning their backs on them. Furious DACA protesters descended upon Schumer’s home, relentlessly chanting, “If he won’t let us dream, we won’t let him sleep.”

Whose your Papi?

Now It’s President Trump-not Schumer and not the Democrats-who has their back.

If President Trump chooses to cave on the Dreamers’ behalf for purposes of negotiations, it will now appear that he truly cares about them, since he’s not just looking to extend the program or grant them amnesty-he’s willing to go for the big prize-to offer them a path for citizenship.

By offering more than the Dems originally asked for, if the Dems do not approve the Wall and end chain migration and the lottery, it will be the Dems who hurt the Dreamers. It will be the Dems who blow the Dreamers’ shot at citizenship.

So unless the DACAs’ programmed Trump-hate is as deeply entrenched as other rabid Hillbot zombies, it will be Trump who emerges as their hero, not the Dems.

A “Path” is not a promise.

By offering a “path to citizenship that could take 10-12 years, President Trump is not promising anything.

For starters, anyone with a criminal record will be immediately deported. Others will be essentially, on parole for years. Their every move will be scrutinized and on record. They’ll either tow the line as solid American citizens, or be booted out.

Even though none of us wanted the DACAs-especially the obnoxious, entitled ungrateful ones-if we allow them a path to citizenship, but secure other initiatives to protect our borders, 700,000 will pale in comparison to the free flow of illegals who cross the border. IMO an even greater danger is the open door for terrorists. At any rate, there may be 700,000 of them, but there will be many who will be deported for criminal activity from the get-go.

If this path goes through, the DACA movement will disperse. Human nature will dictate that individuals will go their separate ways to work hard and seek citizenship. It will no longer be a unite, radicalized political force.

Sure, the Left will try to keep their claws in them, riling them up and inciting hatred. But then each individual can choose. Do they want to break the law and/or show that they’re anti-American- or do they want to become an American citizen?

Over the course of 10-12 years many will be sent packing. Very quietly. One by one.

Opportunity in disguise.

In the meantime, the Republicans have an opportunity to mentor, work with them and possibly-turn them into red pill voters-the ultimate backfire.

It’s not all that impossible.

Recent polls show that an overwhelming amount of Hispanic voters favor President Trump’s immigration policies-including merit based immigration.

That must come as quite a shock to the racist Democrats. They view Latinos as bodies-for-votes- useful idiots who can mow their lawns and clean their houses.

Please join me in this fight to combat fake news with well researched, hand crafted Conservative truth bombs. I’ve put the word out there to “Liberals” to send me their income tax increases and profits from the Trump effect stock market because I’m dying like a dog over here and I don’t want them to feel dirty.

Odd, but I haven’t heard back from any of them. Until then….

‘Merit-based’ DACA which would allow the “good, hard WORKING, law abiding” an opportunity to stay, register and work towards a citizenship over the next 10-12 years (2028 – 2030) is a very fair deal. We, the American people, are NOT against immigrants.. we are against immigrants who come to ‘take advantage’ of our country and that which WE have worked hard for. Immigrants who truly came for a chance at a better life for their families, WANT to be Americans and can contribute to our country are welcome. This option removes the threat of polluting our voting system (which was the Democrats plan) while providing a solution for “the good” to be selected from the whole. I’m all for this resolution.

Any on welfare or any other assistance should be sent packing. Only the 700 thousand DACA are considered .not the 8.1 million illegals.

I agree that this is a brilliant move. I personally am against amnesty, but I don’t see President Trumps plan as “caving” on amnesty. This is definitely not amnesty. It’s a logical, fair, humane solution. It removes the bad actors immediately and also in the future when they show themselves. It ultimately results in merit-based immigration, which is what we need. If the DemocRATS don’t support it, it will show what they really want – VOTERS!
