Lying in wait in my AM inbox was a vile campaign email from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
The subject line read: “A clear way to defeat White Supremacy.” Knowing that Ocasio-Cortez is held is such high esteem by her race-baiting masters/handlers, I was compelled to read on.
This email struck me as especially appalling. I’ll share it here (with emphasis added and links removed) Warning: Have your barf bag nearby…
This past week has made it clear: On Election Day, we’ll be voting forthe soul of America.
Sign up now and make calls from home to get out the vote and stand together against Donald Trump’s hate and the Republicans’ relentless attacks on our communities and our democracy.
Six days from now, we can defeat the brutal white supremacist forces of anti-Semitism, anti-immigrant nativism, and racism. We can hold accountable the cold-hearted monsters who have repeatedly attacked our health care. We can send a message to the bigots and billionairesthat this country belongs to all of us. We can win if we show up on November 6. We must end Republican control of Congress and begin to reclaim our nation.
A Democratic majority will not bring back the eleven Jewish people in Pittsburgh, massacred while they prayed. Or the two Black people gunned down days before at a Kroger grocery store in Kentucky. It won’t fully stop the relentless attacks against immigrants in America.
But on Sunday evening, Pittsburgh mourners—angry and broken-hearted like us—chanted “Vote! Vote! Vote!” They understand the magnitude of the midterm election six days from today: that it affords us the chance to forge a powerful bulwark against Donald Trump’s hateand hold accountable the Republicans who have been complicit in every step of his toxic, self-serving, and destructive agenda. We must offer a path out of the darkness.
There are essential actions MoveOn members can take to ensure that every single voter gets to the polls on Election Day. Don’t miss out.
The power of this grassroots organizing isn’t abstract to me; it is the foundation of our movement. From the first day of our campaign, I walked and walked and walked. I walked until I wore holes through my shoes and my feet were soaked. Hundreds of people from my community joined me, and together we knocked on over 120,000 doors and made 170,000 phone calls.
And then something extraordinary happened: We won. Campaigns like ours aren’t supposed to win. But we did. And we can win again on Tuesday. Across the nation, progressives are on the verge of doing the impossible. And it’s because of waves of unprecedented and targeted grassroots action like the hundreds of actions led by MoveOn members in every corner of our country.
Action that’s not anchored by the chains of Big Money and hate.People-powered action that will not yield. A politics that fights for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and a path to prosperity for every community left behind by our democracy. A politics that cannot yield until we rebuild our crumbling communities and shape our country again in the image of justice.
Be part of the hope of our time. With just six days until Election Day, sign up now to make calls to end Republican control of Congress and help usher in a new day.
This is our chance to take action in solidarity with everyone whose lives are threatened by the hate-filled policies of Trump and the GOP.
Our chance to push back against white supremacist forces across our nation, against the xenophobes who are militarizing the border, against the bigots who seek to erase our transgender families, against the apologists for sexual assault and the Islamophobes who sow hate to divide us.
This is our chance to vote for lawmakers who will put people before profits. Who believe health care is a human right. Who will fight for economic, social, and racial justice for all.
Who will choose love over hate.
Who will choose unity over divisiveness. Who will choose justice and vision over oppression.
I believe with all my heart that when everyday people like us come together and act together for what’s right, nothing can stop the progressive movement in the U.S.
Nothing can stop us IF we join together right now, sign up right now, and help drive forward with all our might to Election Day in waves of unbeatable action.
Join MoveOn’s national call-from-home team to talk to voters and get out the vote.
What’s your take on this level of hatred and deceit?
Race-baiting and white-hate has become so mainstream that “journalists” and “lawmakers” are openly declaring war on pigment-challenged Americans.
Elite-and often white-elected officials, celebrities and other power-mongers are demonizing white Republicans as racists.
They gloss over the fact that it was Republicans who fought, bled and died for the end of Democrat slavery. Who put their lives on the line to force Democrats to honor the Civil Rights of Black Americans. And no, white Republicans did not put themselves through all that and suddenly decide to “switch” Party platforms. To switch from being heroes to villains. Talk about stolen valor.
Democrats deflect from the fact that their current policies, alliances and ideology reeks of racism and Antisemitism.
Yet they brand President Trump, the Republicans and Conservatives as toothless, hillbilly racists and white supremacists.
The bigger question-should all campaign emails be made public?
When reading campaign emails from Democrats I’m always struck by this undercover way that they’re free to spread their lies and toxic messages.
They don’t dare speak this way in public, in front of the media. (By media of course I’m referring to independent media that actually would report it)
Other Democrat whoppers in my inbox include:
- President Trump will destroy your Social Security and Medicare.
- President Trump will destroy health insurance for us all.
- Democrats-unlike Trump-honor and care about our Veterans.
- President Trump will ensure that insurance companies will not insure pre-existing conditions.
- Our tax cuts only benefit the wealthy. ( Why didn’t they give us any “crumbs?” And why to they want to take our “crumbs” away?
- President Trump and the Republicans target and endanger all minorities. They assault immigrants and refugees.
Notice what’s NOT in these campaign emails?
Not one word about Russia or Putin or the Mueller investigation. Could part of their ploy to exploit the Pittsburgh massacre and the migrant “Caravan” not only be to win votes but to distract programmed haters with something new to vilify?
What will happen when haters finally wake up to the Trump/Russia Collusion Hoax? Is something really big about to go down?
What’s your take on this?
Should political campaign emails be published? Why don’t they get more attention in the media?
